Ear seeds carry a deep legacy in Traditional Chinese Medicine as a wellness tool used to reduce stress, relieve pain, restore hormonal balance and more.On the ear, there are dozens of pressure points that correspond to different areas of the body. When you apply pressure to one of those points by applying an ear seed, that point activates.
How does it work?
You choose points on the ear according to whatever therapeutic benefit you’re looking for and the therapist will apply the seeds on the pressure points. The seeds can be kept in the ears for a maximum of 5 days and then they’ll either fall off or you remove them yourself. This treatment is completely pain free.
Frequently asked questions
Do ear seed provide enough pressure to stimulate the points ?
Ear seed provides lighter stimulation than acupuncture which uses a needle in the skin for 20 to 30min at a time. Here, they work on their own for a much longer period of time by just sitting on the skin.
Can I leave them on for longer than 5 days ?
You shouldn’t leave the ear seeds in for longer than 5 days as it may desensitize the point. It’s better to take 2 or 3 days off between applications.
Can you wear the Ear Seeds in the shower?
Yes, the Ear Seeds are stuck on with a high quality adhesive, they should not fall off easily.
